In a gripping cricket match between Australia and Netherlands, Australian cricketer Glenn Maxwell etched history by scoring the fastest 100.

Maxwell came in at the 40th over and smashed his 50 in 27 balls, after which it only took him 13 balls to score a century.

The record was held earlier by South Africa’s Aiden Markram, who scored a 100 from 49 balls.

This was also the fourth fastest century in ODI matches.

Although this is not the first time for Maxwell to score fastest 100, back in 2015 World Cup he had set the record of scoring a 100 out of 52 balls.
