Mumbai: Subodh Mishra, popularly known as “Doctor Saby,” is a 30-year-old rapper hailing from Ludhiana, India. He was born in Banaras, but spent most of his childhood in Ludhiana with his family. His father is a clinical psychologist, and his mother is a school teacher. He has three siblings, and he is the youngest among them.

Subodh pursued his passion for rapping for the last nine years despite having a doctor’s background. He developed an interest in music at a young age, thanks to his elder brother, who showed him Linkin Park’s video “Road to Revolution.” From then on, he started honing his music skills and eventually discovered his love for rap music. Subodh had a memorable childhood because of his siblings, especially his elder brother, who played a significant role in introducing him to good music. He also played professional cricket and completed his schooling in Ludhiana.

Subodh had two defining moments in his life that helped shape his career. The first was during his post-graduation at LPU when he performed western rap for the first time in front of 90 people. He received a positive response from the audience, which encouraged him to pursue rapping further. The second defining moment was when he got offered a web series and performed in sector 17 Chandigarh, where he received great appreciation for his work.

Eminem was the artist who inspired Subodh to pursue his passion for rap music. He helped him develop his own unique style and write lyrics that tell stories. Bohemia was also a significant influence on him as his music helped Subodh a lot.

Subodh sees rap music as a form of expression that provides him with the freedom to talk about anything poetically. He values feedback from people around him, both positive and negative, as it helps shape his worldview and beliefs. He now writes songs on topics that he believes can be impactful and positive for his listeners.

Subodh’s biggest challenge is himself. He often gets distracted from his goals and struggles to stay focused. As a clinical psychologist, he overcomes this challenge by keeping himself occupied in things he enjoys and finding ways to stop unnecessary thoughts.

Subodh’s proudest moments include when he solo-performed a western rap in front of 90 people for the first time and when he got offered a web series. These achievements helped him stay on the right track and continue pursuing his passion.

Subodh faced a difficult decision when he completed his Masters in Psychology, and his father wanted him to pursue it further. With the help of his siblings and friends, he ultimately chose to follow his heart and pursue rap music.

Subodh’s relationships with others have had a significant impact on his life. He has learned many new things from those around him and has applied those lessons to his music.

Subodh advises aspiring musicians to never let anyone discourage them or tell them that they will not succeed. He believes that words are powerful, but our minds are even more powerful, and we should always work hard and smart to achieve our goals.

Subodh is focused on his future plans and hopes that his music will be recognized by everyone. He wants to make a name for himself in the music industry and inspire others with his music. He believes that looking back is not productive and that we should focus on what we can change in the present to make a better future.
