Dinesh Sudarshan Soi wins big at the Dadasaheb Phalke Icon Award Films International 2023 organised by Kalyanji Jana
When it comes to music videos and singles, director Dinesh Sudarshan Soi has raised the bar in the Indian entertainment space. For his phenomenal work, he has earned an array of accolades and recognition. The latest feather the filmmaker has added to his cap is the Best Music Video Director Award at the 2nd Dadasaheb Phalke Icon Award Films International 2023. The event was organised in Dubai by Kalyanji Jana and Ankita Jana earlier in March.
However, due to a professional commitment, Mr. Soi gave a miss to the star-studded event. The Dadasaheb Phalke Icon Award Films International is a prestigious honour, and the director is proud to receive the award. The versatile filmmaker recently took to his Instagram as he posed with a bright smile and the award.

The awards night was filled with glitz and glamour as many well-known names made their presence at the event. Some of the notable personalities who graced the awards night were Archana Gautam, Ali Merchant, Rakhi Sawant, Samira Kazi, Vishal Pandey, Madhurima Tuli, Chinki Minki, Sana Sultan Khan, Sherlyn Chopra, Deeksha Sharma, Dolly Bindra and Tinu Verma among other names.
This was the second season of Dadasaheb Phalke Icon Award Films International. Widely known as DPIAF, it was founded by Kalyanji Jana and Ankita Jana to recognise the work of young, creative and dynamic talents in the entertainment industry. On receiving the award as the Best Music Video Director, Dinesh Sudarshan Soi thanked his fans for showering immense love on his work.
Speaking about it, he said, “My daughter Maesha Soi is my lucky charm. I am eternally grateful to everyone who has been with me in my journey. Right from my wife Sonia Malhotra Soi, my brother Deepak Soi, my family and friends to the audience who has supported my work, I owe this award to them. Awards like these inspire me to work harder. I assure everyone that I will work harder and spread more joy in everyone’s life.” Interestingly, Soi had earlier won the Dadasaheb Phalke Icon Award Films for Best Debutant Director in 2020 and 2021.
Known for directing chartbuster singles like ‘Yeh Galiyan Yeh Chaubara’, ‘Baarish’, ‘Tum Kaho Toh’, ‘Dil Tune Toda Hai’, ‘Mulakaatein’ and Tumhe Mere Liye Hi Banaya Hai’, Soi has also built DS Creations™️ Music, DS Creations™️ Entertainment and Team DS Creations™️. Under his creative firm, he aims to bring the best of entertainment to the audience.
On the professional front, the director has a busy time ahead. He recently wrapped up shooting for his directorial debut feature film. As per the sources, Soi is currently working on a comedy web series which will go on floors soon. Also lined up are his music videos – Channa Ve, Tum Bhi Pachtoage, Adhoori, Dil Hi Jaanta Hai, Kamar Hila, Kala Doriya and Bani Tu Mere Layi.
