The Delhi Traffic Police has issued a traffic advisory for motorists and commuters ahead of the Shri Krishna Janmashtami celebrations at the ISKCON Temple in East of Kailash.

With a large number of devotees expected to visit the temple during the celebrations, the traffic police has warned of heavy pedestrian movement and possible congestion in the surrounding areas.

As part of the traffic management arrangements, one carriageway of Raja Dhir Sain Marg will remain closed from 6 am on September 2 until the conclusion of the programme on September 5.

Motorists Advised to Avoid Affected Area

The traffic police has advised motorists to plan their journeys in advance and avoid unnecessary travel towards the affected area during the celebrations.

Commuters have been asked to use alternate routes wherever possible and follow the directions issued by traffic police personnel deployed in the area.

Motorists have also been advised to follow diversion signs and instructions at the affected locations to minimise delays and avoid unnecessary congestion.

Traffic Police Urges Commuters to Cooperate

The Delhi Traffic Police has urged motorists and commuters to remain patient, follow traffic rules and cooperate with personnel managing traffic on the ground.

Officials are expected to remain deployed in the area to regulate traffic and manage the movement of devotees and vehicles during the celebrations.

The traffic police has also advised commuters to stay updated through its official channels for real-time traffic updates and assistance.

Janmashtami Celebrations on September 4

The ISKCON Temple in East of Kailash is expected to witness a significant gathering of devotees for Shri Krishna Janmashtami celebrations on September 4.

In view of the anticipated footfall, commuters travelling through East of Kailash and nearby areas are advised to factor in additional travel time and follow traffic diversions and instructions issued by the Delhi Traffic Police.
