The exercise, conducted under the supervision of the Ministry of Communications and the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA), aimed to assess the efficiency of India’s emergency warning infrastructure in reaching citizens during natural disasters and national emergencies.
The alerts appeared simultaneously across multiple telecom networks, displaying messages informing users that the notification was only a test and no immediate action was required.
