Assam Rifles seize 90,000 methamphetamine tablets in Manipur

IMPHAL: Assam Rifles personnel have seized 90, 000 extremely addictive methamphetamine tablets, valued at Rs 13 crore, from Manipur’s Tamenglong district, officers mentioned on Monday.

Officers mentioned that the para-military personnel performing on a tip off have seized the methamphetamine tablets, weighing about 4.540 kg, additionally regionally referred to as Yaba pill or social gathering pill, from Phaitol village, below Tousem police station.

The recovered medicine have been handed over to the Manipur Police.

Methamphetamine tablets, smuggled from Myanmar, have been some of the trafficked medicine lately and these medicine have large calls for in northeastern states, different components of India and neighbouring Bangladesh.
