5 dead as wall collapses near Banke Bihari Temple in Vrindavan

A portion of a building near the Banke Bihari temple collapsed on Tuesday evening killing 5 people and injuring several people.

According to reports, a balcony of an under construction building fell and a while later a wall of the building collapsed.

People nearby rushed to the scene and found 9 people trapped under the debris.

Upon arrival medicinal personnel announced 5 of them dead.

The others have sustained critical injuries and are undergoing treatment, said Mathura district magistrate Pulkit Khare.
