Indian Men’s Football team climbs up to 100th Rank on FIFA Rankings

The Indian men’s national football team has surpassed teams like Lebanon and New Zealand to move up to position 100 in FIFA’s most recent world rankings. The Indian men’s football team has now been in the top 100 clubs for five years after falling from 96th place in 2018.

The Indian men’s football squad scored a total of 1204.9 points to place 100th overall. The Indian men’s football team now holds the fourth-best ranking in its history. From 1996, 99th in 1993, and 96th in 2017 to 2018, the team’s ranking improved.

Argentina, the FIFA 2022 winners, and France, the runner-up, are at the top of the standings, respectively. The next three teams on the list are from Brazil, England, and Belgium. Croatia is ranked sixth, followed by the Netherlands, Italy, Portugal, and Spain for the final two positions in the top 10.

In the FIFA rankings, Pakistan ranks among the bottom teams at position 201. Other South Asian football teams are likewise far behind India, with Bangladesh at 192, Nepal at 175, and Sri Lanka at 207.
