West Bengal: Police in West Bengal have busted an illegal arms manufacturing unit and arrested two people in connection with the case. The operation was carried out in the early hours of April 30 in the town of Purulia, located in the state’s southwest region.

According to police officials, the manufacturing unit was being run out of a rented house in the area, and had been in operation for several months. During the raid, officers seized a large cache of weapons, including rifles, pistols, and ammunition.

The two individuals arrested in connection with the case have been identified as local residents, and are believed to be involved in the manufacturing and distribution of the illegal weapons. They have been charged under various sections of the Indian Penal Code and the Arms Act, and will be produced before a court in Purulia for further legal proceedings.

The busting of the arms manufacturing unit is a major success for the West Bengal police, who have been working to crack down on the illegal arms trade in the state. The proliferation of illegal weapons has been a major cause of concern in many parts of the country, and has been linked to a range of criminal activities, including terrorism, organized crime, and communal violence.

The seizure of the weapons cache is expected to deal a major blow to the illegal arms trade in the region, and will help improve the safety and security of local communities. The West Bengal police have urged residents to come forward with any information that may help in their efforts to crack down on the illegal arms trade, and have promised to take strict action against those involved in such activities.
