Lawyer among 3 arrested in Punjab for helping fugitive

Chandigarh: As per the latest news reports, three individuals, including a lawyer named Amritpal Singh, have been arrested by the Punjab police for allegedly aiding a fugitive. The other two individuals arrested have been identified as Harjot Singh and Sukhwinder Singh.

The fugitive in question is Jatinder Singh alias Baba, who is a notorious criminal and was wanted by the police in several cases of extortion and murder. He was on the run for the past few months and had been evading arrest.

The police had received a tip-off about Baba’s whereabouts and had launched a search operation to nab him. During the course of the investigation, it was found that Amritpal Singh, Harjot Singh, and Sukhwinder Singh were providing shelter and other forms of assistance to Baba to evade arrest.

The police have also recovered several incriminating documents and electronic devices from the possession of the arrested individuals. They have been booked under various sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and the Arms Act.

The arrest of the three individuals has been hailed as a major success for the police in their fight against crime in Punjab. The police have stated that they will continue their efforts to bring all criminals to justice and maintain law and order in the state.
