New Delhi: Delhi reported 733 new cases of COVID-19 on Friday, April 7th. The city has also reported two new deaths due to the virus. These numbers come as Delhi is seeing a surge in cases, with the positivity rate increasing over the past week.

The number of new cases reported on Friday is a significant increase from the previous day’s count of 607. The total number of cases in Delhi now stands at 7,44,214, with the death toll at 11,035.

The spike in cases has led to concern among health officials and the Delhi government, with Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal urging people to follow COVID-19 protocols and get vaccinated.

The Delhi government has also taken steps to ramp up vaccination efforts, with the opening of new vaccination centres and the expansion of the age group eligible for vaccination. The government has also imposed a night curfew in the city from 10 pm to 5 am to curb the spread of the virus.
