₹400 crores for MCD-run schools has been released by the Delhi government

New Delhi: Education minister Atishi said the Delhi government released ₹ 400 crores for the development of MCD-run schools on Thursday.

Approx 9 lakh students study in MCD schools, she said.
The priority of the Delhi government has always been education
“Our main aim is to make MCD schools better,” she said.
The education minister added, “MCD funds have been increased to ₹ 1700 crore and today we are releasing ₹ 400 crores.” Delhi mayor Shelly Oberoi observed that the focus of the AAP party has always been on education, following the ideologies of Dr. BR Ambedkar.
“MCD schools need a lot of development in infrastructure and manpower. To ensure these issues are addressed, the Delhi government has allocated a huge budget to the MCD schools,” she said.
